Super excited about the project with the SAGA school in Driehuis, working with the AGORA method in which students are in full lead of their own learning process. https://petermerry.org/secondary-education-for-the-future-agora/. After the climate class and design-workhop, a team of 5 students came up to us: they loved the workshop so much that they decided to make their own project out of it, dived deeper into the subject and contacted the municipality. We incorporated their ideas into the preliminary design. The basis for the schoolyard is a strong grid, creating outlines in which students have freedom for self-creation and self construction. Three old shipping containers will form outdoor workhopplaces and a canteen with home made food. Students will help with finding funds, starting spring ’25.
